Blockchain Technology & Polycentric Governance reading group

The “Blockchain Technology & Polycentric Governance” reading group investigates the polycentric governance of blockchain systems from descriptive, conceptual, and normative perspectives. The reading group aims to test several preliminary hypotheses related to the governance of blockchain-based systems, including the benefits and challenges of polycentricity, the characteristics of good governance, and the factors that contribute to legitimacy, trust, and confidence. The sessions are currently running and are held bi-weekly on Thursday at 7:00 pm CET for one hour, with an additional 30 minutes for discussion. Participants are expected to have done the readings in advance and will engage in open discussions after a fireside chat between panelists. The reading group is composed of participants ranging from blockchain practitioners to scholars knowledgeable about blockchain governance and polycentric theory.
