Digital Ethnography & Blockchain Reading Group
September 26, 2022
The RMIT University Blockchain Innovation Hub / Digital Ethnography Research Centre, Metagov, and BlockchainGov are hosting a reading group on digital ethnography and blockchain. The group aims to bring together researchers interested in ethnographic research in the blockchain industry. The first session will be held on September 26th. The reading will lay the foundation for many of the upcoming governance-focused sessions and will form the basis of the discussion. In addition, the group will provide a shared space for ethnographers working in the blockchain space to interact and support each other’s research. Sessions are approximately one hour long, and participants are expected to have read the assigned reading ahead of time and come prepared with one or two questions. Each session will begin with a discussant summarizing the reading and introducing questions to guide the group discussion. All discussions will be recorded and shared internally, and Chatham house rules apply to all conversations and the use of recordings.
