Stanford DAO Workshop

The Stanford DAO Workshop, hosted by the DAO Research Hub and the Stanford Center for Blockchain Research, aimed to accelerate research on DAOs by bringing together leading DAO operators and researchers from various fields. The interdisciplinary approach aimed to identify and prioritize the key open problems faced by DAOs to make them impactful and sustainable. Participants presented open issues from the perspective of their field of research, and the group decided which ones were most important to resolve. The top open problems were ranked, and proposals were generated on how to fix them. Moderators gathered these proposals and presented them to a panel of funders, who provided feedback and insight into their respective organizations’ research funding priorities. The workshop also aimed to build a DAO research community by connecting participants and encouraging collaboration beyond the workshop. The insights shared during the workshop will be published. The participants’ research will be supported by connecting them to relevant academics and operators, assisting them with peer review and publication of their work, and helping them obtain funding where possible.
